European Golf Design is the joint venture design company of the PGA European Tour and IMG. Established in 1992, European Golf design has made an immediate impact within the industry, claiming design commissions in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Jamaica, Thailand, Scotland, Italy, Israel and Crete.

The Company, based at the PGA European Tour's offices in Surrey, was established as an avenue through which the Tour could begin to develop a number of venues throughout Europe that would host Tour events in those areas; would allow IMG Golf clients, along with every other professional golfer, to have an in-house design team at their disposal to assist in the design of new golf developments they are involved with, as well as providing a design company of the highest calibre that was available to other clients for the design of their projects.

Each of the design team currently employed by European Golf Design has been hand-picked for their skill and ability to create great golf courses, and whose collective experience gives the Company the benefit of involvement in well over one hundred and thirty projects spread throughout the world. Our Chairman is a past Captain of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St. Andrews and was Chairman of the Open Championship Organising Committee for many years. It is this combination of skill and experience that has enabled European Golf Design to make such progress in such a short period of time.
