The PGA European Tour is the governing body of professional tournament golf in Europe. Three professional tours are administered involving more than seventy-five events annually, with prize money in excess of £30,000,000 on the Volvo Tour, the PGA European Seniors Tour and the PGA European Challenge Tour.

In addition to the administration of tournaments, the Tour also represents the playing interests of almost four hundred players, as well as operating companies involved in the promotion, televising and management of tour events and tour courses.

The reach of the PGA European Tour has extended considerably over the past years, with tournaments scheduled to be held in countries beyond the boundaries normally considered to be European. Events will be staged in 1996 in Singapore, Dubai, Australia and South Africa, in addition to the events scheduled for mainland Europe.
