Born in 1945 in Italy, Luigi Rota Caremoli has got certificate in Economics, Agronomy and Golf Management. He has been involved professionally with golf since 1962, when he started at Bergamo Golf Club and then moved to England.

He has been international golf referee, General Manager at the Villa d'Este Golf Club for 23 years, on 1981 funded Member of the Italian Club Manager and Superintendent Association, owner Golf and Gardens Company for providing golf course projects and Management.

Luigi Rota Caremoli, before became
Member of the European Society of Golf Course Architects, has had professional experience in golf management, construction and turf management. He wrote many articles about turf maintenance, golf architectures as "Golf Naturae". He has supervised and menaged the construction of famous courses as: Garda Golf (18 holes); Golf Bethemont - Versailles (18 holes); Cą della Nave - Venice (27 holes); Modena GC (18 holes); Prato - Florence (18 holes); Castello di Tolcinasco-Milan (36 holes). He designed and completed more than 20 own projects. His golf projects open to players include Croce di Malta GC (9), Cą degli Ulivi (9), Golf il Picciolo (18), GC Puntaldia (9), K Club Barbuda - Antigua (9), GC Castell'Arquato (18), Milano 3, Gabicce GC, Chiasiellis, Molinetto GC (18), Garden Golf il Torrazzo (9), I Ciliegi GC (9), GC Schito (3), GC Santa Martretta (9+9), GC Ponte di Legno (9), Golf Crema (9+18 under construction), Colline del Gavi GC (18). He carried out reshaping/redesigning work at several other places such as Aquabona GC, Villa d'Este GC, Menaggio GC, Pevero GC, Lanzo GC.
